British Traditions

Hi everyone
I wanted my students in 1st to know more about British traditions so I prepared a webquest where they had to find information about British daily life and food. I also asked my students to find a recipe they could explain to the class or include here as a comment.
If you are interested click on the link below or see the comments and find out.

Stew of Madrid By Rodrigo Cambronero 1ºD
Put the chick-peas to soak the day before, in warm water with a spoonful of salt and a bit of bicarbonate.
In a big pot with abundant cold water, put the meat, the tied bones in order that there does not leave the marrow, the bacon, the ham and the hen with little salt. Put to warm and when it starts boiling, foam well and add the well drained chick-peas to the warm water, in order that they should not break the boiling (it is suitable to put them in a special network in order that they do not spread out). When it breaks the boiling, lower the fire in order that it cooks slowly.
The stew will have to cook approximately for 3 hours and a half, skimming off it occasionally. An hour before it ends, add the carrots divided in halves lengthways and 1/2 hour later add the potatoes.
